Environmental / Biomethane Gas
Biogas is a clean renewable energy source that can replace fossil fuels use for power generation and transportation. Biogas refers to the by-product resulting from the biological decomposition of organic matter such as food waste, manure, biosolids from dairy, agriculture, farming, sewage treatment facilities, and landfills.
The waste to energy markets is a tremendous opportunity for companies towards achieving their goals of net zero. Biomethane (RNG) thus produced is environment friendly, a sustainable energy source, and can generate viable revenue. This process is accomplished using gas separation membrane.
GENERON® Proprietary hollow fiber membrane technology with high CO2/CH4 selectivity and optimum gas flux, cleanly upgrades biogas and landfill gas to biomethane by efficient removal of CO2, H2S, water vapor and trace gases. The biomethane can be produced to meet or exceed pipeline grade natural gas specifications and fueling vehicles or conversion to LNG. The system integrates between the digestion process and the gas consumer, which can be a commodity natural gas pipeline, vehicle CNG fueling stations, fuel cells and other combined heat & power (CHP) systems. The captured CO2 during biomethane production can be reused in other industrial applications.
GENERON® membranes have the highest CO2/CH4 selectivity available and superior technology for upgrading raw biogas within a flexible, modular system that is easy to operate at a low investment cost. High selectivity ensures the production of high quality biomethane with limited methane slip, resulting in >95% methane recovery.
